Hamish has family ties to our community that extend back a number of generations. He and his parents have lived in this area for years. That means Hamish has a personal connection with this community that will enable him to represent your issues in a compassionate and fair way.

Hamish also has a passion for Economic Policy. He lectures at the Auckland University of Technology Business School. He understands the effects of economic policy on New Zealand families and businesses. He lives with Denise and son James in Birkenhead. Being a parent, he shares the concerns that many parents in New Zealand have about raising happy, healthy, successful children in New Zealand and will act in the best interests of all our children.
